IOS 8.3 Itunes error 3194 & error 11

Hi, i saw some of ios user cannot update from ios 7 to 8 due to certain error in itunes. I also encounter this problem on my ipad 2 (wifi version) which i wanted to change from ios 7 to 8.3. Somehow, i downloaded ipsw from some relevant source for ios 8.3 and finally i connect to itunes and restore with 'shift' restore method.

But unfortunately, after extracting couple of minute, and few process which i forgot, then the error 3194 come out. Its freaking me out because my ipad stuck on recovery mode.

I searching google and tried many method including delete host file, but failed.

I tried downgrading ios using tiny umbrella but failed because i didnt have any shsh bloops.

I almost give up because i trying many method for about 9 hours.

At last, i try update through itunes, not 'shift restore' method. After itunes finish download update, i click restore and suddenly after extracting, error 11 appears.

I felt lost.

Then i retry with itunes update again.

After extracting process, which i think verifying process (i forgot what process is), assuming the progress 20% something,  i purposely open host files and i saw apple.gm code (which i delete many time before this) !!.

Then i quickly delete apple.gm code and save while the update still in process !

As what happen to my ipad, usually, before error 3194 or error 11 come out, the progress will stop at around 50% process of updating.

So, after saving host files while updating, i disconnect my internet connection.

And voila, the process continue till the end !

My 9 hours of torture is end !

So the bottom line is, i still not sure whether host files are the cause for these error. I said that because some said that host files are fake information that cause for the error.

I also think like that at first moment, but my last method is fruitful to me which is i updating using OTA / itunes, delete host files while updating and lastly stop internet connection while updating.

Hopefully this idea could save ur idevices.

Thanks
